Sterling Silver Maerl Necklace from the Isle of Skye

Claigan Beach on Skye’s waternish peninsula is famous for its dazzling white sand… which is not sand at all, but a coralline deposit formed by a type of seaweed known as maërl.

I picked up this piece of “coral” on a trip and thought it would look fabulous as a necklace, the casting process picks up on all the textures and leaves you with a perfect reminder of the seashore.

All of my jewellery comes beautifully wrapped ready to give as a gift or as a treat for yourself.
