Want to hear something funny... I've got either a bulging disc in my back or something up with my pelvis, getting MRI results on Monday anyway I've got some painkillers and some muscle relaxation tablets on my bedside table, that I only take at night if it's really painful. I have also got a bloody cold, so I have some decongestant tablets on my bedside too..... guess which I accidentally took this morning as they are in similar packaging lol That's right, diazapam so now I'm a bit relaxed and woowoo for the next 4 hours or so. Good job it's a Saturday and I didn't need to drive anywhere this morning 😂

Spiced preserved orange slices, these are absolutely delicious with cheese and crackers, gammon and duck. They make a nice little Christmas gift too. They take a couple of weeks to mature in jars so now is the perfect time to make some. Comment if you would like the recipe x

Morning, boy do I have an extra appreciation for nurses that work nights! Aimee is on so many medications that some she needs during the night. Was easy when a nurse just brought it to us lol I've got a bloody whiteboard with them all on as I can't keep track 😂 Send energy please!

This one is 6 days post brain operation and we get to go home from the hospital, I can't tell you how good it's going to be to sleep on a comfortable bed! It's been an absolutely brutal week for Aimee, the side effects from surgery were harsh, I knew this recovery was going to be hard but actually witnessing her going through it was way worse. But she's been an absolute trooper, she's so strong! I could tell when she turned a corner as she was getting annoyed at me and wanted to eat a pot noodle! She won't be back to school for the start of term as will need a few more weeks of recovery before heading back to the lions den that is year 11. I need a spa day!

Autumn incoming 🍁 Had a roast dinner today, after living off picky bits for what seems like months my stomach is not happy! Still full hours later 😄 I can't wait to wear my Autumn sweatshirt!
